We have not talked about this much, but ClearHealth is going to
be wired soon for a Practice Type concept. A give Practice Type in
ClearHealth will turn on and off different parts of the ClearHealth
interface to make it more useful to users of a particular practice.
For instance when the practice type is set to dental, a tooth chooser
will appear when you try to do encounter bill encoding. etc etc
There has been some interest in making a Pharmacy Practice Type in
ClearHealth. Obviously this would include improving the drug tracking
capability in ClearHealth. But we would also need to have access to a
drug interaction database.
This is why I am cross posting this to the hardhats list, I am
interested in how VistA approaches this problem.
Is there an Open Source option for tracking drug interactions? Does
VistA have something? If it does not would the VistA community be
interested in collaborating on something like this?
