Are you using the free download version of Cache from the Intersystems web
site? And you are using the FOIA of VistA from the VA ftp site dated August
25? Once you confirm this, I will try to get to straightening out the
instructions by loading it up and giving it a test drive.

The domain names can be set to anything you want them to be, including your
own domain. The options give were sometimes in the files, sometimes made up
for the instructions.

Nancy,
Thank you for the response. I tried installing VISTA again. This time I was
able to see %ZOSV.INT in step 38. Also, ZTMGRSET appeared to run correctly
in step 34 (I think it ran the previous time I had run it also). I updated
the list of steps that game me problems below. Any pointers would be
appreciated. Thank You. Also, where is the documentation for adding
patients, doctors, nurses, etc? Where is the documentation for giving
signatures? (or how do I accomplish this) Yamir Encarnacion

a) Skipped step 38 because my %ZOSV.INT doesn't look like the %ZOSV.INT in
the instructions. b) Skipped part of step 39 because I do not have the line
mentioned in the document in file XWBTCPC.INT. I did the modification
 mentioned for XUS.INT.
c) In step 41, I am asked for an access code. Following
the instructions, I go to step 49 d) Can not perform step 49 because I am
still being asked for an access code e) I do
s DUZ=1
f) I go back to step 41. First of all, I do not have a local domain name so
I used VISTA.MYDOMAIN.COM as my domain. g) In step 42, when it asks for
PARENT, I enter PLATINUM.VISTA.MED.VA.GOV (as in the instructions) and I get
"Parent may not be the site itself." I accept the default value. (PARENT:
FORUM.VA.GOV//)
h) In step 43, I get the following error

Select OPTION: 5 INQUIRE TO FILE ENTRIES
OUTPUT FROM WHAT FILE: DOMAIN//
Select DOMAIN NAME: VISTA.MYDOMAIN.COM
ANOTHER ONE:
STANDARD CAPTIONED OUTPUT? Yes// n (No)
FIRST PRINT FIELD: NUMBER
THEN PRINT FIELD:
Heading (S/C): DOMAIN LIST//
HOME DEVICE DOES NOT EXIST IN THE DEVICE FILE
PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SYSTEM MANAGER!
TRY LATER
<<<<<<<<<<<<
Question, how do I define the HOME device?
i) I do step 44 using 3 as the internal number of the new domain just created
j) In step 48, I get

Select RPC BROKER SITE PARAMETERS DOMAIN NAME: VISTA.MYDOMAIN.COM
  Are you adding 'VISTA.MYDOMAIN.COM' as
a new RPC BROKER SITE PARAMETERS (the 2ND)? No//
<<<<<<<<<<<<
I never get what is shown in the instructions which is

DOMAIN NAME: VISTA.MYDOMAIN.COM//
Select BOX-VOLUME PAIR: VISTA:CACHEWEB//
   BOX-VOLUME PAIR: VISTA:CACHEWEB//
   Select PORT: 9210//
    PORT: 9210//
    *UCI:
    STATUS: STOPPED//
CONTROLLED BY LISTENER STARTER: YES// N NO
