The quotes were thought provoking and even amusing - the first few times.
After the same thoughts kept coming back 50-100 times, I thought it might be 
productive to
share the thoughts provoked.

I enjoyed your explanation of this one and was pleasantly surprised to see that 
it
actually seemed relevant to the list. ;)

I too am strongly in favor of refactoring and abstraction, but to me it is not 
a "taking
away" but a reformulation and a drawing out of the essential underlying ideas.
