Ruben. I believe the following quote is very apropos. Whatever language you write in, your task as a programmer is to do the best you can with the tools at hand. A good programmer can overcome a poor language or a clumsy operating system, but even a great programming environment will not rescue a bad programmer. —Kernighan and Pike Basically, "You can write Fortran in any language". As much as I agree about your feelings with regards to PHP, I don't believe that you can fault the language for its average user. To me, that would be like blaming Ford for bad drivers, or the Internet for stupid people. Just because someone takes a tool and uses it poorly doesn't make the tool bad. Again, I am not defending PHP as a language/toolkit/whatever-you-want-to-call-it, but I don't believe you are being fair to the number of good programmers that choose to use it (I am sure there is at least one or two ;)). --Todd ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Hardhats-members mailing list Hardhats-members@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/hardhats-members
