The most common cause of this problem is that long lines within the KID file have split into two (or more) lines.  This can happen if the file was saved from a text editor with auto line wrap, for example.   Below about the 5th line, subsequent lines up to the end-of-file indicator must strictly alternate, data-subscript-data-subscript, etc.  In your file this alternation is broken in at least one place, probably many.

The easiest solution is to obtain a replacement for the KID.  If this is not feasible, the file can be fixed by finding and undoing the spurious line breaks, but this can be a tedious process and requires care.

Subject: [Hardhats-members] Install MPI AUSTIN

Hi

We are doing some R&D to setup a common database for  Christian hospitals in India (numbering over 500). This is likely to be located at one of the large Medical College Hospitals. So we will need to emulate the Austin setup to access the patient's REMOTE DATA in CPRS. I have got one KID file, which has the MPI AUSTIN 1.0 distribution. When I try to load it, following happens

Select Installation Option: 1  Load a Distribution

Enter a Host File: MPI.KID

KIDS Distribution saved on Jan 23, [EMAIL PROTECTED]:07:54

Comment: MPI

This Distribution contains Transport Globals for the following Package(s):

   MPI AUSTIN 1.0

Distribution OK!

Want to Continue with Load? YES//

Loading Distribution...

 .S @(GR_X)=Y

I can't locate this file on VA’s ftp site as well. Can somebody help?

Regards

Usha
