Does someone have a listing of the steps posted that they went through to get VistA populated and running?  I know some have taken extensive notes.

In my mind, there are two distinct phases.  Getting the hardware and software installed and configured, at the infrastructure level and below.  Then you have the phase of 'getting clinical' and populating the FM files that make up VistA.

In my mind, I see Hardhats as more involved in the former and WorldVistA putting more emphasis on the later, though neither is excluded from either phase.  I looked on the WorldVistA Wiki and didn't see much detail about the file population phase.  It seems to me the first phase is a cakewalk compared to the second, but not having been involved in the second phase, I am just speaking from hearsay.

WARD LOCATION: CAR??
Enter the ward on which the patient was placed.
Don't allow an inactive ward or one not on bed
census

Samuel, there are several ways to assign a patient
to a ward and a bed, but
the patient must be admitted first so use the "Admit
a Patient" option in
VistA.

In that option you will be prompted for a ward and a
bed.

You can later "Transfer" him/her to another ward and
bed if you wish.

All of these options are found in the Bed Control
Menu.
