I have little doubt that you will have that same Linux server option with VOE sometime in the future, likely when it is fully released, and you have the enhancements such as prescription writing suitable for a physician's office, DOQIT reminders and facilitation of reporting, registration modifications, etc. Eventually, these should be rolled into FOIA VistA as they pass the Class I certification in the VA.
Then there are templates, etc., which may not be part of FOIA VistA. I am not sure how that last part will work. Take a look at that article link posted by Cameron Schlehuber yesterday to get a feel for the future as some envision it.
