Are you sure? Is the media type of a message with attachments
multipart/mixed? My point was that you could "attach" files, but only
with uuencode which is, at best, an ad hoc mechanism.

If I recall correctly (as someone else said, no one uses it much
anymore), it does support uuencode, but is not MIME compliant, so
there are no proper attachments. You would probably be better off
using the POP server (no one has implemented IMAP). As an MTA,
Mailman can transport mail with attachments just fine, but only
because they are seldom an issue for the MTA piece.
