No, you've misstated the facts. The realplayer was paid for by real to include in SUSE and is unlinked, selfcontained application. That means, and I'm long term SuSE user and teacher, that SuSE completely clean of any mp3 libraries and software. Even videos with MP3 sound in totem completely fails to work.
