My habit is to keep all three close at hand. Moreover, when there is a need to consult these texts, I find that reading all three of them is often worthwhile. Each author has a different professional perspective and basic history with MUMPS. Hence, their presentation of the language are hopefully technically equivalent, however, their discussions are not. The three different discussions of the same topic in these texts often conveys a broader and deeper understanding. Get all three. They are all superb works. The investment is small compared to your professional time. You will reap benefits far greater that the cost of these books.
