I agree, and especially liked the part about "relevant" complaints rather than irrelevant ones. Even so, I fear that the strategy of trying to sell VistA by telling people how difficult it is to learn and use is one that's likely to backfire. Yes, I know there's an issue of managing expectations, but I think people are going to start expecting more tangible reasons for why it is worth the effort. If Rick's article was at all unsatisfying, it's because it had little to offer along he lines of what VistA can actually do.
