As I look at VistA code, I see a fair percentage of the code having the [TAB] character starting non-label lines.  So it is not always replaced.  In my code, I typically have 8 spaces instead of a [TAB] character, and that works well too.

As best I can tell there are a number of formats that these can come out in
with tabs or spaces and Cache will take them in.  When I have imported files
for GTM I have used ANSI and DMS both and to me the guts of the RSA file do
not look the same yet they will both Import into GTM and I am sure they will
import into Cache as multiple options are allowed.  In this case, I just used
the format the files were in already and it worked fine.  It happened to be
recognized by Cache as ANSI format.  The only tweaking is dos2unix or
unix2dos.

I have what I hope is a simple question. When entering MUMPS code,
I'm in the habit of typing a <tab> before every non-label line, and
that works fine. When I look at the saved routines, it appears that
the tabs are replaced with a (single) space. Is this correct? Is
there a more complicated rule? Is it the same on both major platforms?
