The Hui project has a nice imaging application (Stephen Miyasato programmed
it) that does scanning and they have been kind enough to send it to
me to test drive.  This is for use with VistA and has a proprietary portion
that can be redistributed as a binary without additional licencing fees. It
will be freely distributed soon.

I am looking for some testers for the instructions in particular right now,
although reports of any bugs you find along the way will be appreciated. At
the moment, the scanning portion of the program is of prime interest.
Testers at any level of expertise that can satisfy the requirements below are
welcome.

This is a volunteer job, just like mine!

You will need a Windows machine that uses CPRS to connect to a VistA server
that you can use for testing and for which you have administrative
privileges.  Do not use a production account for this.

It will be necessary to make some configuration changes in VistA on the
server.  It should work with either a GT.M or Cache installation of VistA on
the server.  The VistA-Office EHR Beta should work fine.

You will need to document any problems and, hopefully, make yourself available
to talk with me about them if need be.   I will call you if you are in the US
or Canada and we can use Skype if you are not.

The application is large, over 100 megs zipped, so I would not suggest you
volunteer if you have only dial-up, although I could send you a CD if you
feel strongly that you would like to do this.

Anyone interested please send me an email off the list so we can hash out the
details.
