Lloyd Milligan has sent the open source community instructions for
installing FOIA VistA on Ubuntu Linux including installing VistA-Link on GTM.
It includes modifications in routines that are necessary to make VistA-Link
work on GTM.

This is what he had to say in the email he sent:

"Last week I installed the January 2006 FOIA under GT.M 5.0.000c using Ubuntu
version 5.10 (the most recent).  My previous linux hard drive had crashed.
This time I took pains to document each step in the install and post-install
through setting up the OS service listener for the RPC Broker and my
modified routines for VistALink under GT.M.  A few of the steps reflect
problems in the FOIA distribution that I have identified previously.  For
example, ^ZTMGRSET does not rename the ^%ZISF routine as it should.  This
causes KIDS not to work, until the problem is corrected manually.  I have
documented all of this and am attaching the document for whatever use it may
be to you and my other open-source friends."

This gift is pure gold! ;-)

Dave Whitten has just posted it on the WorldVistA Wiki.

A huge THANK YOU to Lloyd and Dave.
