Well, I said it was "my opinion" but I was really just echoing the current views of blind folks who work at our medical center. They have had a lot of experience with both gui and roll and scroll. I hope better options are still in the pipeline.

I've watched people jump between panels and tabs with JAWS all the time. In fact, I was recently at a presentation where a sighted user had their mouse taken away and the first task given them was to get to something at the bottom of the screen. Now, in all fairness, Menu Manager at least does support "^" jumps and rubber band jumps, but I'm surprised how rarely I use these capabilities.
