When you drop to the GTM prompt, do: w $ZSTATUS and report the error back here. A better way is to log in with ^XUS and then after an error, go to the show log of errors menu (I think it is eve->operations->show error log).
It sounds like you have some glitches in the indexes or something. Kevin P.S.
