Sounds to me like you have HD/profile corruption. Check to make sure
your current user folder hasn't changed to something like USERNAME.001.
I've seen Windows do that a fair bit. It can't load the old user
folder, so creates a new one. All your data is there, but you can't see
it in the new profile.
