No, it's unlikely anyone would notice the difference between the Pro and EVO
outside of benchmarks. I use both - I just put a 500GB 850 Evo in my new
Broadwell-based laptop. I do still put the Pro in systems where performance
trumps all, but I can't make a compelling justification for doing so beyond
"just because."

Modern SSDs are superior in every possible performance dimension.
Simultaneous reads and writes, small reads or writes, large reads or
writes...even today's cheapie SSDs wipe the floor with the best magnetics at
any spindle speed.

Do you really notice a difference between EVO and PRO. I can see a benchmark
difference, and while I am sure it would matter if you had multiple
simultaneous hits on a PRO .. like from multiple users...but do you really
think the average laptop user is going to experience a difference?

Things you would expect a fast SSD to make a huge difference on ....
like video editing, surprisingly it doesn't make a difference. In fact, it
turns out the SSDs are not really suited for video editing because of the
constant small read writes...or so I have read. However, it has also been
my own experience. While I have a huge RAM drive to edit from when editing
big HD files I find things are easier to work with using a Raptor... odd but
true.
