I did a upgrade from Win 7 Ultimate to 10 Pro. I am suppose to receive the free DVD player app but it never appeared in my windows update. I contacted MS support and they sent me the direct link to the DVD Media player app. I download it but when I try to install it a pop up message says that only qualified installs can have the DVD player.. or something like that. It wouldn't do anything beyond that screen.. I see in the MS forum others with the same issue.

I need the windows mpeg-2 codec in order to run HD Homerun VIEW and watch TV. When I try to run it I get a black screen with audio. Silicondust says this is because I don't have the correct windows mpeg-2 codec. I have already installed 64 bit SHARK007 codecs, and VLC media player but it hasn't solved the problem. Does anybody know what media player I can download and install that will provide the correct mpeg-2 codec to solve this problem? Silicondust posts in their FAQ that they can not recommend one because of licensing issues.

Thanks
