[H] mobile hot spot

I have a AT&T Netgear Air card that works as a mobile hot spot. I 
know any phone can be a mobile hotspot but if you use them hard they 
get hot and they really aren't designed for heavy use. So I got the 
Air card with it's own data SIMM to use when I am mobile. It is not 
cheam so  now I am going to switch to Netcom.. which uses TMobile and 
gives me 10GB of Data for 40 bucks. However the Simm isn't going to 
work in my Netgear Air Card because it doesn't recognize anything but 
data simms and I can't get the Aircard  unlocked.

 Is there any good universal unlocked devices that you can stick any 
Simm card in and use them to operate a hi speed wifi hotspot. Any 
recommendations. Thanks
