I downloaded and tried out the new TrendMicro 2005. It has anti-spam
but only if you use outlook, no deal for me I use gmail and
thunderbird for my isp account. I also notice it has some
anti-phishing scheme, dunno how that works, but it also claims to be
able to protect your pc from giving away your personal information,
but that setting is not on by default :|. So far I'm unhappy shelling
out 25 bucks for this years release :(. scan times are no diffrent
than their 2003 product... and realtime protection is not a hog, but
you can't turn on the scan "every" file or it WILL bog down your
system. Instead I used the default recommended files.
I've emailed them about cancelling my purchase so that I can go out
and try NOD32.
