Other than recharge time, both do ~125 joints. I'd go for the fast charge one. Something to keep in mind is the fragility of the tips, so make sure you have a hard case to carry them in & don't bang them to remove excess solder (found out the hard way).

I forget the exchange rate, but here's one of each from ebay:

You want fast & cordless, pay the $50 and buy a Wahl ISO Tip. You won't be able to drop it in your pocket for 15 seconds, but it won't accidentally pass juice through that sensitive part!

Ok, I'm looking at these in Canada.

Model 7800 (I think this is the Pro Charge) is $145.22.
Model 7700 (Quick Charge) is $106.21.

I'm assuming the Pro Charge is worth the extra money - anyone have any opinions on it?

Then for tips - I figure these two will do me.
7545-100 Fine Tip - $12.41
7577-100 Chisel Tip - $12.41

And for desoldering tools (not sure if this is necessary or not, since when I removed the caps on the board I tried, the holes are clear.)

Desoldering Tool 7420 - $28.19

Opinions on these choices are welcome.
