Go for an AMD system based on a cheapie ATI chipset like the R9200, Athlon64
3000+, 1GB of RAM and all slapped into an Asus A8V board. That would be
cheap by Aussie standards here, but I don't know how they're priced up there
... I dare say it would be cheaper there.

Adios,
Tony

Subject: [H] Best bang for buck - budget system

Sorry to bring this up again, but what CPU, Motherboard, video card and
memory combo would people recommend for a budget system, say $300-$400 ?
Will be running XP Pro with office apps and a little bit of Photoshop -
nothing serious. Going to reuse a case and pata hard drive, screen etc.

Thanks, Steve
