I don't have SACD disc to test with here but my Sony jukebox does SACD & is on the digital input to my Logitech Z-680 that gives 5.1 for movies. I'd imagine this would be the same for SACD audio disc played through it.

With the 5.1 split into analog, you should be able to record the individual outs though it would be lower quality analog. Better to get a digital input for you PC & record that way IMO.

I'mn a fan of surround sound, and especially multi-track audio that I can
remix on my own. I have recently become aware of hybrid SACD multichannel
discs and an surprised how many offer a multichannel playback option. I'm
considering getting a Sony SCD-CE595 SACD player which has 6 analog outputs
for the multichannel audio.

Question is this, can I theoretically play back an SACD multichannel disc on
the Sony player with the analog outs plugged into the inputs on my PC
soundcard and record the individual channels to the PC? Will there be a
large reduction in quality of the audio signal? Also, would I be able to
plug the six analog outs into the analog inputs of my Logitech Z-680's and
hear the multichannel mix through the Logitech speaker system?

I think I should be able to do both, but it's all a theory now, any feedback
on this?

Thanks,
