Personally, I just really really don't like any LCD TV I've seen in stores, the colours and picture quality are usually horrendous. I have noticed that this is getting better but still not as good as I would like.
I don't think this is necessarily an LCD issue as I've seen Plasma, CRT, LCD TVs and PCs with LCD monitors all running from the same source and the PC will look one hell of a lot better than the LCD TV (even a good name/high end one).
