Yes, m0n0wall is a very good lightweight FreeBSD-based solution. It is not nearly as featureful as a distribution such as ClarkConnect, but for 6MB it does an impressive job.

I know someone here turned me on to Monowall and I have not looked back. I love it. Does everything I want it to as far as a Router/Firewall. I have it between the Cable Modem and my WRT54G Router. Runs on minimal hardware and you don't even need a hard drive. Just floppy and cdrom.

I might invest in the Compact Flash solution some day just to save space.
