Rsync works wonders if this is a *nix to *nix type of move. Best of all
it's free! Rsync on windows should be considered beta at best. I use
it at work to copy Retrospect backup set files to our other office every
night. Older versions would spontaneously quit working and need a
reinstall and fiddling with to get working again. The latest revision
has yet to fail me. It probably will, that is why we don't use it as a
primary backup method. :)

On windows and Mac I know Dantz Retrospect has a "Duplicate" option. It
works well. Copy one directory or many to any network accessible storage
place. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't delete files that
are deleted from the source. The files are not in any type of backup
set file or anything like that, it just copies the files from wherever
you specify to wherever you specify. Scheduling is built into the
program as well.

Well we need more of a File copy utility that is reliable. Something
that will copy over all the data at the end of each day.
