yeah! plus you got to wait 2 weeks to get anything from Intel. And while
this was a retail CPU it is well beyond the 3 year warranty. It is in my
sisters box, which I built, and I was cleaning the huge amount of dust
everywhere. I imagine the plastic clips get heat stressed over time. All I
did was snap it shut and the damn thing blew apart!
Obviously the thing can't run without the heatsink. Kind of hoping
someone has one sitting around and can stick in a bubble pack so I can get
it in a couple of days :)

Anybody have one of those Intel plastic clips that were used to attach
Intel aluminum coolers, for retail socket 370 processors? I broke one and
there is a reason I don't want to put a third party CPU cooler on. This
is on a Celeron that is mounted on a slotket ...there isn't enough room
on the board, to support a third party cooler, which are usually much
larger then stock.
