Soon after I posted the last message I checked out some of my hardware. Not too long ago I installed a Hauppauge capture card. Then the BeyondTV app to use with it. I removed the card AND the BTV software. I then removed the drives from DM & the lower filters from the registry & restarted. TADA!!! The drives are back. At least one came back, & after inserting CD's in each a couple of times & cranking up Nero, the other drive eventually came back. Then I took a leap of faith & reinstalled the capture card. The drives are still there. Now I have to reinstall the BTV app & see if they dissappear again. Gee, MS is sure flakey sometimes. Thanks for all of the help!! You guys are great!!! -- C L Shaw <>< <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> The true test of giving is when it has no benefit to yourself.
