yeah that sux, What I've tried is saved my passwords and bookmarks.html files, then uninstall FF, and blow away the profile as well.  The reason for this is to get rid of any and all "extensions" and perhaps misconfigurations...

loaded without favorites and passwords and settings at first.
added the bank to FF's list of approved and it worked. probably more a bank site bug then a FF bug.

I just wish I could fix the tutoring program bug, weird it works in the shop and the systems are almost clones ( except for games ) and of course the HW is different but I can not imagine that being the bug.

This sound bizar,  What version of FF did you try, did you already have FF on your pc, are you using any extensions?  Generally it's a good idea to NOT use extensions when you first load FF, then slowly add your favs, for me my top 2 are adblock and noscript.

installed firefox to see if it would work to a site I am having trouble with ( math tutoring site for son) connects in shop but not in main box. ( will on rare occasion )
FF didn't help but when I went to my bank site it said SSL was disabled. Have no trouble with IE there.

How do I enable SSL ? perhaps it is my bug with the tutor site
thanks
