As I understand it, the modifiers are using one or both of the following technologies:
1) Using Lithium batteries (similar to the ones used in camcorders). 2) By adding more batteries they are modifying the computer system(s), so they use less gas and more battery power. There is a third party company that is doing this mod in California.
