Chris,
I own/use three 29160-64's ATM.  Have been using them w/o f/w upgrades since I bought them in 1999-2000(?) when I converted up from 2940's.  I do like them very much.  They have been totally bullet-proof since purchase, and, if any of them die, I'll replace them w/o hesitation.  Yes, I did buy the 64-bit cards with hopes/plans on forward movement that I never made.  These cards even on 32-bit bus have been seamless.  Win2KProSP4 likes them completely.

My SCSI experience may end with these cards.  I can not afford to play in the 320 realm.  I will get over it all and convert back to EIDE in time.  Good Luck!  I still do like SCSI very much.

OK, we picked up a set of Dell DLT1 Powervaults cheap.  We did so to deploy a few to set locations; however, I’m unsure of what SCSI Card/Cable to recommend to go with these.. since these are external LVD/SE devices, I could us regular LVD card and run the internal LVD connection external with a bracket; but I’m still looking for specific ones to recommend.

Right now, in the box one will be connected to is a Dell PERC3, which we could use, we have the cable to go from one to the other; but I’m unsure if that’s something I want to do either.

Any recommendations for card/cable combination for a single purpose device?  Ie, nothing else will be attached but this as an external unit.
