Just to avoid confusion.....you are looking for PCI-E

PCI-X is not the same and should now be avoided with the advent of PCI-E,
many boards now have one or the other.

Subject: Re: [H] any reason to go AMD 64 yet?

I was taking about upgrading the box to a AMD 64 rig and that would require
XP 64 pro. But you answered the heart of the question. What I would like to
do is get a nice system that if I don't run into a dead end with the
motherboard. So I am looking for value that would include SATA and PCIx for
video so that down the road I can pop in a 64bit cpu and maybe another SLI
video card.
