Do you have links to people who have conducted these tests, with results? I would be interested in seeing, rather then a back and forth of theorems :)

I'm sure that most people had no problems with their IBM Deskstar 75GXP and 60GXP drives, but that doesn't mean they were good or reliable. The general consensus is very valuable data, but yes, it must also be filtered against some common sense. There is certainly media that is worse than the Ritek G04/G05, but there is also most definitely media that is better. Either way, there is -no- question that the Ritek RW and DL media are absolute shit. I wouldn't trust it to back up YOUR deleted spam email. Greg
