[H] batch files

Seeing a thread on batch files, makes me wonder about creating a specialized 
script 
myself.
I would like to have a desktop icon which would shut down my computer.  A 
further 
requirement would be that this would have to be voice actuated using Dragon 
Naturally 
Speaking.  In order for the shut down process to not hang up, the script would 
have to 
turn off the microphone before Dragon is shut down.
Anybody have any insight?  Or is this a major programming endeavor?
