Well "loads better" I understand, but the Nvidia comparisons loose me
because I haven't owned a Nvidia card since the TNT2 days! If anybody can
make a qualitative comparison I would be interested. ... 50% better ....

A good 'ol GF4 Ti4600 outshoots the 9600 Pro in DX8 mode.
A 9800 Pro is nearly on par with the 6600GT in some instances (same goes
for the X700XT or X700 Pro).
