Running a nVidia card stock? Get coolbits.reg, go the the overclocking page and get it to autodetect....then move it back 2 notches on each slider :)
Most games seem to be limited by the gfx card now, top-end CPUs seem to be mostly wasted on games. I'm still trying to balance on the fence with a socket A Barton 3200 curious what the game wanted to auto detect ? My friends 3500 a64 and 6600gt set low quality and 640x480 just like mine does. I am currently testing mine at medium and 800x600. Kicked it up to high for grins, looks wonderful but NOT playable at all. Also find anything but the easy setting lacking in firepower, shouldn't take 3 rail shots or 3 missiles and 10 shotguns to take down some of these enemies. Looking for weapon mods. Also would like a good timedemo to run since the game did not come with one. Also the latest video drivers and the Q4 preset has mad a major difference in play in my aging state of the art box :'( hohoho fp At 09:43 PM 11/17/2005, Jin-Wei Tioh Poked the stick with: >My Chaintech 6600GT (admittedly PCI-E) works dandy just pulling power from the slot. > >As far as Quake 4 goes, I've noticed that the fps gets a little poky (just enough to make moving the view >around not smooth). Thankfully, doesn't happen all that often.
