VS isn't really shit memory, it just isn't as good as XMS. In the past, I've heard statements to the effect that the biggest differences between VS and XMS are the PCB and assembly locations. I have my two XMS PC3200 1GB modules (which are notoriously hard to overclock) running 223MHz at 2.5-3-3-6 1T. I'm very very picky about what memory I allow in my main box. This isn't really due to overclocking potential (obviously, or I wouldn't get 1GB sticks) as it is my desire to have rock solid memory. It is, to a large degree, a matter of trust.

Hmm... running 4 sticks (2 sticks purchased 8 months apart) of the "crappy"
VS line here at 225MHz, 3-4-4-7 on an nForce 4 mobo. I guess your mileage
may vary.

Okay..but...matched sticks are available in the Value Select line as well.
Is it VS or is it XMS?

The crap Value Select stuff, or the XMS line? I've found Corsair to be one

of the least fussy, but I don't buy Value Select...
