When it first came out there were major security issues, but since then it's been updated pretty good. Of course people still remember the bad security issues and refuse to install it.
Think of it like the BSOD myth with Windows XP. Sure, 9X and NT (and to a lesser extent Win2K) BSOD'd a lot, but windows XP is much better about that (never got a blue screen with WinXP - YMMV)
