I am trying to connect my media PC to a Mitsubishi HDTV (model

Previously I was using the VGA adapter to connect as the TV has one of
those as well.

I just got a new ATI All in Wonder 800XT. It came with a coupon for a free HDTV breakout box, that plugs into the 800XT and then into a HDTV.... so something must be different then the regular TV OUT breakout box.

I have never used DVI before since I only have CRTs and no LCDs. Do I
have to change some sort of setting in the video card drivers to
enable the DVI instead of the VGA output? I am using a GeForce4
Ti4400 card.

Also, the TV manual says that the HDMI input is "not for use with PCs
or devices outputting video signals with computer resolutions". Is
this just a ruse by the manufacturer to prevent people from connecting
it or could there actually be some sort of mechanism that only allows
HDCP contect to be shown?
