Thanks. I went with the full suite you gave us the link to as I am sure there will be other decoding needs as time goes on. I tried wiping or massaging the area with the bad pixel with a lens cloth, to no avail. I am running the Stuck Pixel Video looping, all to no avail. I wonder how long it is safe to let this run.
Now you know why computer shops should not sell LCD monitors. The supplier will not take them back and Viewsonic told me that 5 or less dead pixels is normal and they will not take it back, so I am simply stuck if the Stuck Pixel Video does not work. It is a good thing I bought this monitor for shop use and not for a customer. I simply will not sell monitors because of this problem among others.
