The Xeon is way behind in updates, and it's getting farther behind. Right now, Bensley, the first dual core Xeons, were supposed to be ready to go with boards by the end of this quarter. Where are they? Nowhere.
Sidenote: I had a Dell PowerEdge 2800 shipped to my office last week configured with two 2.8Ghz dual-cores.
Another side note: While my Dell technical contact was very mum about this, Dell is preparing for something very big going down. theinquirer believes it is preparation by Dell to introduce an Opteron PowerEdge line. Too bad I had to spent the budgeted money by mid december :\
