When I've had the problem like you describe below, I usually end up reformatting and putting Windows back on, as it's a PAIN in the ass to get working otherwise. I presume you've looked in your Event Log and haven't see any problems there. What programs are running in the background? BTW, as you said, the NVIDIA Firewall is good for blocking application stuff. You never know, someone might mistakenly install a trojan on your computer and that would pick it up. It's also hardware accelerated, so it doen't affect speed much. Take care and good seeing you back!
