Might want to start buying Intel stock while the price is low.

Oh snap!  Nice to see that Intel isn't resting on their laurels... Competition is healthy and I don't think that this chip would be where it is if it were not for AMD.  I've been a AMD nut for awhile, but Intel is starting to look better with this.  I didn't notice, did they mention heat/power consumption?

Yup, 65W TDP at 2.6GHz IINM. Looks like AMD really hurt Intel's feelings with the A64 at full load vs. the P4 at idle ;)

Fanboys seem to be coming out of the woodwork on most major forums (AT, [H], etc.). Lots of conspiracy theories flying
around (eg. why did the FX-60 appear as "unknown" in the BIOS, unequal graphics driver settings, unknown "optimizations",
old BIOS version, etc.) and apparently lots of measurements of e-appendages.

I think all the folks here are level-headed enough not to blindly subscribe to brand loyalty. :)

That said, the performance increase in F.E.A.R is nothing short of astounding. That's the kind of performance increase you'd
expect to see out of a decent GPU upgrade.
