Has anyone encountered this situation? I added a DVD Dual Layer Burner (Benq) to an NForce 3 system. Burner worked fine in Socket A system (KCS SIS MB), now in the NF3 system, it will stop Win2k from booting. It hangs at the splash screen (the rotating bar freezes) and never goes forth. If I kept reseting, then the system would come up (random number of resets), and the Burner would work fine, no problems. I also found that if I open and shut the burner at the right time, it boots fine. I'm pretty sure that I'm current with the board BIOS, but I have to check. Burner runs with no problems on Nero, only this strange booting problem.
[OT] Friday was the first time I sat down and watched any of the Doctor Who's. I'm hooked, then again, it might be because Rose is so danged cute.....;-)
