I don't actually have any x10 cameras but it sounds like a decent setup.
You can setup web based interfaces for x10 devices to control them remotely, etc. Where will you be, at work?

x10 stuff is cool for the reason that you can power things on and off as needed all over the house. I have 3 cameras at home, with 2 just simple nightvision capable webcams that I picked up for $9 each, and a decent nightvision wireless camera that I put wherever I need it. These are always running so I didn't need anything more expensive. I may pick up the x10 pan and tilt controller though, because I would like the option to look around as needed.

Sure. I have a bunch of X10 stuff here. In fact I was thinking of grabbing the x10 ninja to pan and tilt my nightvision security cam (which isn't x10). I use it to remotely turn on and off different computers, camera's and network devices at home, when I'm at work.

Well good, glad to hear somebody is using it. I did notice that a goggle search brings up no complaints, which is encouraging.

I am thinking about buying a three or four camera setup for a couple of hundred, and then 4 screen device, for a 100 bucks, which allows me to view up to four cameras on one computer screen, and turn any of them into web cams. I want to monitor my Dad who has Alzheimers.

Any thoughts, or advice Iopaka?
