I just got myself a macbook. The 2 Ghz model with 512 MB of RAM. OSX is slow with just 512 MB of RAM, and I was curious if you need dual channel (2 sticks of RAM) to upgrade the system.
I want to upgrade to a minimum of 1Gb, but I wanted to make sure if I can stick in one stick of 1 GB RAM. Also in the event that I have to use 2 sticks of RAM, can I just mix and match manufacturers? I have 1 stick of Corsair DDR2 667, and I can't find those anymore in Saudi.
