Ditto on the great link about Vista. I was just talking to a friend about it. And we figured we would obey the old rule someone made up about MS Windows. Skip every other version. I want to say that I probably read the on this List years ago.

On another topic, and body here a SCSI HDD expert? When i re installed this hdd I am getting asked if I want to repair errors. So, I let it go, but I have to hit a key for each error.  Its a Cheeta 18XL. Does anyone have an idea how many hours/days I am going to keep hitting that key? There is not life or death data, pics, email, etc. But there are a few things I would like to get off of it.

I debated getting a HDD recovery program, but the best rated one I can find is about 80 bucks.

With the collar bone being broken and not able to work, 80 dollars is just not feasible.

Any ideas/suggestions? System is running XP Pro, system boots off a Raptor SATA HDD. Have SCSI CD-R burner, SCSI CD-Rom, and a DVD-Burner.

System runs great, its just that HDD.

The errors are happening at startup, SCSI level. When system boots, it does not see that drive.

Again, any help/suggestions apprciated.

Harvey
