Testing on two systems. On one, System Info agrees with the msdos.sys and io.sys dates (time is off by minutes.) On the other, msdos.sys and io.sys are 2003, systeminfo says 2004. The second machine had a repair install done once, so I'm thinking that systeminfo updates the install date when a system install is done. Both offer good information, however.
