Date: Fri, 21 Jul 2006 14:06:14 +0100 Some of the 975 boards do support DDR2-800 and DDR2-1066, its just not a default option and is only available on a few of the more overclocker-freindly boards. The Asus P5W DH for example. It's dead tech. It does not, nor will it ever, support DDR2-800memory. Funny how it's touted as "extreme" and the 965 series chipsets that DO support DDR2-800 memory are marketed as "mainstream".A G965 intel retail board with integrated graphics looks like a killer combofor anything short of intense 3D gamers. Depending on which source you read, the new integrated graphics are to be DX10 compliant and not suck. >From: JRS <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Reply-To: The Hardware List <[email protected]> >To: [email protected] >Subject: [H] BTX? >Date: Thu, 20 Jul 2006 17:48:02 -0700 > >What happened to it? > >Was looking at new 975X motherboards getting ready for a Core 2 (Conroe) >update, seems most boards out there are still ATX form factor? >> I thought Intel was gonna drop support for ATX for the newer processors?>:) > >-- >JRS [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Please remove **X** to reply... > ><--Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most--> *******This message and any attachment are confidential and may be privileged or otherwise protected from disclosure. The 975X chipset itself will NEVER support DDR2-800. Any board that makes
such claims means you are running out of spec and overclocked.
